Welcome

The Hammond lab is a research team in the Department of Cell Biology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. We study how our bodies’ largest but thinnest structure – the cell membrane – function to keep our bodies active and healthy, and the ways in which it malfunctions in disease.

Explore our site to find out more about what we do, keep up to date with our latest discoveries, and look for opportunities to join our team.
