Hammond Lab

The Hammond lab is a research team in the Department of Cell Biology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. We study how one of our bodies’ microscopic but incredibly intricate structures – the cell membrane – function to keep our bodies active, and the ways is which they go wrong in disease.

Explore our site to find out more about what we do, keep up to date with our latest discoveries, and look for opportunities to join our team. Check out some of the newer pages for 2018. We’ve added pages describing our published papers, and we’re keeping you better up to date with what we’re up to with our Facebook and Instagram pages (look for Hammond Lab!).
